Budapest is famed for its thermal baths that are dotted across the beautiful city. It’s also one of the most beautiful cities in the world with incredible architecture lined up along the Danube River. I was lucky enough to experience the city’s beauty in the sunshine during my visit; but on my first day Budapest greeted me with hours of rain.
First things first— it’s pronounced “lib-ill-yana”. Don’t worry, I coasted through life calling it “jub-bill-jana” for a good few years before I decided I should probably google the pronunciation of Slovenia’s capital city.

I never thought that I would become emotional over a bridge.
But in Mostar, standing beneath the huge arch of Stari Most, I did.
I was climbing up a hill again. This has become a running theme during my trip through Europe; climbing up stuff.
This time it was to catch the sunset over the Bay of Kotor in Montenegro.
Kotor’s Old Town, surrounded by centuries old city walls and nestled in the Bay of Kotor, is an incredibly picturesque place to spend a few days.
